CSIR-NEIST to organise virtual seminar on ChatGPT today

The Advanced Computation and Data Sciences (ACDS) Division of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-North East Institute of Science and Technology (CSIR-NEIST), Jorhat will be organising a series of online seminars on the game-changing technologies from Monday onwards.
The director of CSIR-NEIST and the head of ACDS division Dr G Narahari Sastry said that the first virtual seminar will be on ChatGPT: Unraveling the Conundrum. Dr Sastry also added that the objective of the seminar is to present the science behind ChatGPT to the common man.
Notably, ChatGPT is a combination of chatbot functionality and Generative Pre-Trained Transformer (GPT) which is a part of a Large Language Model (LLM) and is slated to be one of the emerging game-changing applications developed through Open Artificial Intelligence (OpenAI) technology in the recent times. ChatGPT is set to revolutionise the traditional communication technology as we see today and bring about a paradigm shift to the lives of mankind.
The seminar will provide a platform to explore and evaluate the transformative influence of ChatGPT, an advanced language model developed by OpenAI. Its potential to disrupt traditional communication methods and bring about a metamorphosis in multiple industries and fields will be examined through this virtual seminar. It is an attempt to explore the underlying logic, theory, and foundation for the platform.
