Diphu KV students shine at Regional Sports Meet 2023

DIPHU, Sept 5: Students from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Diphu, Karbi Anglong, showcased outstanding performances at the recently concluded Regional Sports Meet (RSM) 2023, held from August 25 to September 2, 2023. The event took place at KV IIT, Guwahati, and KV AFS, Digaru, under the auspices of KVS’ Regional Office Guwahati.

Under the guidance of sports In-charge Sohan Lal Beniwal, the students achieved an impressive medal tally, securing 23 Gold, 07 Silver, and 03 Bronze medals, totaling 33 medals overall. The students excelled in Athletics and rope skipping events.

The Gold medalists from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Diphu, include Serlika, Serlibon, Jesika, Anjali, Lirmir, Archana, Sengmepi, Rimthika, Manosh, Sar Anongkiri, Bhomkiri, Nayanjyoti, Debojyoti, and Irisim Taro.

The Silver medals were clinched by Holiram, Nisesnso, and Sengme, while the Bronze medals were secured by Sar Anongkiri, Manosh, and Irisim Taro.

The successful students attributed their achievements to the support and encouragement of their parents and teachers.

In-charge principal Haitilo Kath felicitated the victorious students upon their return to the school campus. He praised their exceptional performances and highlighted the importance of sports in fostering physical fitness and instilling values such as unity, discipline, socialisation, and patriotism.

The felicitation event was attended by senior teachers, including Parimal Ray, Ajay Kumar, Leonard Bey, Anurag Chaturvedi, Vaseem, HBS Anal, Shatabdi Paul, and Bimla Singh.
