MARGHERITA, June 7: The Islamic community of Margherita observed Eid-ul-Zuha on Saturday with heartfelt devotion and a spirit of togetherness.

At 8:30 AM, the Margherita Central Eidgah Ground was filled with thousands of worshippers as Imam Ali Ahmed Misbahi led the Eid prayers. The ground, beautifully decorated for the occasion, resonated with spiritual energy as people gathered to offer prayers in a collective expression of faith.

Following the prayer service, many visited the local Kabarsthan (graveyard) to offer supplications for deceased loved ones. Across various Eidgahs in the region, people came together to pray for global peace and harmony, embodying the core values of Eid—compassion, charity, and unity.

The celebration served as a reminder of the enduring bonds that connect the community and their commitment to peace and mutual respect.

Our Sivasagar Correspondent adds: Along with the rest of the world, the Muslim community in Sivasagar celebrated Eid-ul-Adha with solemnity, devotion, and enthusiasm.

At Babupatty Eidgah Moidan, the Eid prayers were led by Haji Maulana Ismail Ali Kasimi, who also delivered a sermon emphasizing the values of sacrifice, compassion, and unity.
