TEZPUR, Jan 19: A fake candidate appearing in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) cum Recruitment Examination-2024, held on Sunday across the state, was arrested from the examination center at Government Girl’s Multipurpose School in Tezpur.
According to police sources, the accused, identified as Sadek Ali, a subject teacher at Dalgaon Ballav Bhai Patel Higher Secondary School, appeared in the examination as a proxy candidate for one Sajid Ali.
Shockingly, he sat for the test on the same bench as his wife, who was also a candidate in the examination.

Notably, apart from this incident, the TET cum Recruitment Examination-2024 was conducted smoothly and without errors in various centers across Sonitpur district. The examination was held for recruiting graduate and post-graduate teachers in government and provincialised secondary schools.
