SP Sivasagar, Subhrajyoti Bora, stated that neither the police nor the CRPF could confirm the specific location of the blast. Despite CRPF refuting any blast occurrence, local residents reported hearing a blast in the area. Security measures have been heightened in Upper Assam to prevent extremist elements from infiltrating the region, following DGP GP Sing’s red alert declaration for the entire state and the recent visit of the NIA team to Dirak Kopahtoli Dogra Regiment’s Camp and Jorhat Lichubari Army Camp.
