GUWAHATI, Nov 21: Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria participated in the valedictory function of Rashtriya Ekatmata Yatra-2023, organised by Students Experience in Inter-state Living (SEIL) under Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad at Cotton University on Monday. He expressed appreciation for the noble endeavour and its contribution to fostering national unity.
During his speech, Governor Kataria emphasised that the yatra exemplifies the diverse culture of India, providing thousands of youths with the opportunity to explore the country’s various regions and cultures. He underscored the importance of understanding the rich culture, history, and demography of India, making the yatra a significant initiative.
Highlighting the benefits of travel, Kataria noted that it offers practical knowledge, broadening perspectives and encouraging a new outlook on events and things. He congratulated the students who participated in the yatra, particularly those who visited North-Eastern states during the 15-day journey.
The Governor commended the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad for its initiative, believing that such efforts contribute to nation-building. The valedictory function was attended by dignitaries, including tourism minister Jayanta Mallabaruah and the national organizing secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Ashish Chauhan, among others.
