Governor Gulab Chand Kataria  Takes Stock Of The Development Works Of Chirang

GUWAHATI, June 7: Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Wednesday visited Chirang district and held a review meeting with Deputy Commissioner, Chirang, Superintendent of Police, Heads of Security Agencies, and all Heads of the line Departments of Chirang district in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Chirang at Kajalgaon.

Governor reviewed the work status and assessed the progress of the flagship schemes of the Central and State governments in key departments such as Education, Health, Water Resources, Agriculture etc and expressed satisfaction with the overall progress made by the district. He extended his valuable suggestions for speedy completion of all ongoing government projects and schemes in a time-bound manner by maintaining quality as per guidelines of the schemes.

He also interacted with the superintendent of Police, Chirang and Head of the Security Forces regarding law and order issues of the district. He also stressed on creation of more green spaces by indulging in plantation in government offices and educational institutions, along the roads etc. P Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, deputy commissioner, Chirang, Shri Pranjit Borah, superintendent of Police, Chirang, Abhishek Jain, ADC in-charge SDO(C), Bijni, addl deputy commissioners, circle officers, assistant commissions, and all heads of the departments of Chirang district were present in the meeting.

Guardian minister of Chirang district and minister of Handloom and Textiles, Urkhao Gwra Brahma was also present during the media briefing.
