Organised by the department of animal husbandry and veterinary, the expo saw the participation of farmers and young entrepreneurs from across the state.

Speaking on the occasion, Governor Acharya said that expos of this type help the farmers and entrepreneurs to display and sell their produce and become self-reliant. “This expo will be truly meaningful which is being held synchronising the festivities of Bhogali Bihu,” he said.

Highlighting India’s leadership in milk production under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Governor said that over the last nine years, milk production in India has surged by 57.62%, with an annual growth rate of 6% compared to the global average of 2%.
