The session brought together officials from various departments to assess the implementation and progress of key government schemes and development projects in the district.

Principal Secretary (i/c) Partha Sarathi Johori gave an overview of the Council’s operations, followed by departmental presentations detailing the status of flagship programmes such as Orunodoi 3.0 and Jal Jeevan Mission.

Addressing lapses in certain Anganwadi centres, Minister Gowala directed strict action against underperforming workers, stressing the importance of efficient service delivery.

Discussions were also held on improving maternal health facilities, with the Health Department calling for the urgent upgradation of the Jatinga SD Labour Room to enhance institutional childbirth services in the area.

Challenges related to delayed infrastructure works were also discussed, particularly the non-implementation of tenders by contractors unfamiliar with the district’s terrain.

CEM Debolal Gorlosa recommended encouraging local contractors, who have a better understanding of the geography and technical aspects, to take up such projects.

Minister Gowala assured that the matter would be escalated for resolution at a higher level.
