Health and welfare camps in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT, April 1: The health department of Golaghat organised health and welfare camps at the gaon panchayat level in two places of the district –in Gormur HS school under Bokakhat gaon panchayat and Halmira TE Hospital under Sensua gaon panchayat of Khumtai constituency on Tuesday.

Agriculture Minister Atul Borah inaugurated the camp held in Gormur HS School, accompanied by Co-district Commissioner of Bokakhat Shivani Jerengal , social worker Bhaskar Kalindi, SDMO Ajit Kakoty.

On the other hand, District Commissioner Pulak Mahanta inaugurated the Halmira TE camp. Khumtai MLA Mrinal Saikia also visited this camp and asked the health workers to make the people of the tea gardens aware of the benefits of health services provided to them by the govt in proper manner.

Joint Director Health Dr Bodilal Deuri, SDMO Dilip Rajbonshi, General Manager of Halmira TE Giridhari lal Sarma were present along with health, ASHA and anganwadi workers in the camps.
