GUWAHATI, April 26: Swiggy, India’s leading on-demand convenience platform, has launched a cricket-season campaign titled Swiggy Sixes, offering real-time food discounts every time a six is hit during a live cricket match. The initiative was announced in an official statement by the company.
Tapping into the nation’s cricket frenzy, Swiggy Sixes offers users instant deals such as 66% off, ₹266 off, ₹166 off, or ₹66 off on orders from over 50,000 restaurants nationwide. These time-sensitive offers are activated immediately after a six is hit and remain valid for just 10 minutes, encouraging fans to order quickly while enjoying the game.
A live “ball floaty” timer within the Swiggy app notifies users with alerts like “A Six was Hit! Offer Unlocked,” allowing them to track deals in real-time. To claim the discounts, users must complete their order, including checkout, within the 10-minute window.
“This campaign brings together two things India loves—cricket and food,” said Sidharth Bhakoo, Chief Business Officer, Swiggy Food Marketplace. “With Swiggy Sixes, we’re adding an element of excitement and surprise that enhances the match experience for our users.”
