BOKAJAN: In a successful operation, the police in Karbi Anglong apprehended two individuals and seized a quantity of suspected heroin from a residence in Lahorijan under Khatkhati police station.
Acting on a tip-off regarding the peddling of narcotics substances, law enforcement officials conducted a raid at a residence in Lahorijan Bash Bari. During the operation, they discovered approximately 58.81 grams of suspected heroin within the compound owned by Jushna Khatun.
As a result of the operation, Md Dilwar Hussain (23), son of Nasir Uddin, a resident of Sutargaon under Dabaka police station in Hojai district, and Jushna Khatun, wife of Nasir Uddin and also a resident of Sutargaon, have been arrested.
A case has been registered against the individuals involved in this illicit activity. The seizure of the suspected heroin serves as another step in the ongoing efforts to combat drug-related issues in the region.
