JAGIROAD, Feb 1: The much-awaited Kopili River Bridge at Jagibhakatgaon under Jagiroad LAC in the district of Morigaon will be completed by June, said Water Resource minister and MLA, Jagiroad Pijush Hazarika on Wednesday.
While addressing a public meeting here, the minister also said that the people of India have placed their trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and state chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Consequently, the trend of joining the BJP is steeply rising among members of other political parties and the general public.
Additionally, Hazarika stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on February 4 in Guwahati, would announce 17,000 crore schemes for the welfare of the people. The minister, while appreciating the successful APSC candidate from the locality, also announced the establishment of a civil service coaching centre at Ahataguri near here. It is further learned that about 400 Congress, AGP, and other party workers joined the BJP in the meeting held at the newly constructed multi-utility building on the day. The meeting was also attended by Kamalpur MLA Diganta Kalita, Lakhimpur MLA Manab Deka, Jagiroad Mandal BJP president Prabin Kumar Deka, among others.
