DIPHU, Dec 28: The Karbi Students Association (KSA), Diphu District Committee (DPC), has demanded a thorough investigation into the actions of Rumir Timungpi, a suspended APS officer and daughter of Mangal Sing Timung, executive member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC).
The association asserted that Rumir’s alleged misconduct warrants a fitting punishment.
According to the official statement, KSA strongly condemned Rumir for what they describe as a disgraceful act.
The association alleged that Rumir and her father paid a substantial amount, exceeding a crore of rupees, for her selection as an APS officer.
They also claim that this money is suspected to be ill-gotten from the misappropriation of KAAC funds by Mangal Sing Timung.
