The occasion kicked off at around 11 am with a warm welcome speech by Pranami Devi, followed by a melodious welcome song performed by Sarmita Bhagawati. Sahabuddin Ahamed, the guest of honour and ex-principal of THB College, Jamugurihat, who also holds the position of president of the NSSS Managing Committee, graced the event. Ahamed shared valuable insights with the students, urging them to excel in their HS finals and bring honour to the institution, parents, and themselves.

The institution’s students and teachers showcased their impressive dancing and singing talents, captivating all the guests. Shibu Majumdar, secretary of the NSSS Managing Committee and headmaster of Blue Pine English School, delivered an empowering speech, emphasising the importance of students preparing to create job opportunities for themselves and others rather than solely seeking government or private jobs.

Majumdar’s vision highlighted the transformative role of education in shaping students as successful individuals in a competitive world. Rajib Goutam, the vice-principal and PGT of English, addressed the students on behalf of the faculty, underscoring the significance of being humane above all.

Adding an exciting element to the event, the title of Mr and Miss Fresher was awarded to Nayan Jyoti and Lucky Oli, respectively, based on their introductions. The program concluded on a thankful note, as Bishal Orang, an HS second year student, offered a heartfelt vote of thanks.
