A special Cleanliness Drive was carried out at New Tinsukia Railway Station, with the active participation of railway staff, local volunteers, and environmental advocates. The initiative emphasized the importance of maintaining clean public spaces and reducing plastic waste. The campaign delivered a clear message – Say No to Single-Use Plastic. Participants focused on cleaning the station premises, removing litter and plastic waste, and advocating for eco-friendly alternatives.

At the Wagon Care Centre, New Tinsukia, another focused drive was organized, underlining environmental responsibility within railway operations. Staff and volunteers joined hands to clean the area and educate others on sustainable practices. In support of the ‘Go Green’ initiative, staff and patients at Divisional Railway Hospital, New Bongaigaon were encouraged to plant trees within hospital premises. This activity aimed to enhance green spaces and spread awareness about the importance of trees in promoting a healthy environment.

A special waste segregation drive was launched at Dibrugarh Station, introducing separate bins for biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste. This initiative aimed to streamline waste management and reinforce the principles of recycling and reuse. Cleanliness drives were also conducted at the railway colony in Dibrugarh and Hojai health unit, ensuring residential and health facility areas remain hygienic and environmentally sound.

Additional cleaning efforts were undertaken at Old Sick Line and New Sick Line, Katihar where comprehensive cleaning of premises and railway tracks was conducted. These activities focused on maintaining the cleanliness of operational zones and enhancing the overall working environment.
