Phul Hazarika, a cherished resident of Borbhagiya Village, peacefully passed away on Friday afternoon at the age of 95, succumbing to age-related ailments. She leaves behind a remarkable legacy as a retired teacher and an esteemed artiste pensioner.

Hazarika’s dedication to women empowerment was exemplified through her role as the founder member of Satyasandha Mahila Samiti, a pioneering women’s organisation in the greater Jamugurihat area.

As an accomplished author, Phul Hazarika adorned the literary world with a multitude of notable books. Her passion for socio-cultural endeavours extended beyond her writing. She actively engaged with numerous organisations dedicated to fostering social and cultural growth in the greater Jamugurihat area.

In the wake of her departure, Phul Hazarika is survived by her three sons, a daughter, and a large circle of relatives. The loss of such a remarkable individual has left organisations and individuals alike mourning her passing.
