One injured in road mishap

DEMOW, March 12: A road accident took place near Thowra Tea Estate near Demow on NH-37 between an Ambulance and a Dumper on Wednesday where a person in the Ambulance was injured.

According to sources, the Ambulance (AS 01 RC 5764) was coming from Jorhat Gatoonga Tea Estate, carrying a patient along with family member and heading towards Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh when it hit a dumper (NL 01 AH 3887) from behind near Demow on NH-37.

Consequently, a person in the ambulance was injured and the dumper skidded off the road.

The locals immediately informed the emergency services which took the injured person to the Hospital.
