The principal of the school, Apurba Das, welcomed all the participants, escorts, and judges, addressing the gathering and motivating the aspiring painters to express their desires and dreams through their artistic skills.

Participants, ranging from class 9 to 12, were provided with painting kits containing all the necessary stationery. They chose topics from the mantras provided in the ‘Exam Warriors’ book penned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which aimed to address examination stress and anxiety. Topics such as Chandrayaan, sporting success, Viksit Bharat, and other mantras were chosen by the painters, reflecting themes that would help individuals overcome obstacles in life and celebrate life as it comes.

Under the fine weather and sunny day, participants engaged in their paintings, and a panel of three judges reviewed the submissions. The judges assessed the participants’ creativity, the quality of artwork, and the demonstrated artistic skills. The top five participants were announced and rewarded with certificates and a book titled ‘Gandhi – Warrior of Non-Violence’ by RD Tandon and Roland E Wolseley, as suggested by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangstha headquarters.
