Pijush announces government’s aim to provide jobs to 1,35,000 youths

GUWAHATI, Nov 25: Assam cabinet minister Pijush Hazarkia, attending a joining ceremony and kāryakartā sanmelan in Rangia LAC, emphasized the commitment of the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led government to provide jobs to the youth.

Sharing the news on social media site ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), the minister stated, “I participated in a padayatra at the Hindi High School ground in No. 57 Rangia Assembly constituency, addressing a joining ceremony and a kāryakartā sanmelan. Enthused by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ideals and the capable leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma sir, more than 1,500 members from various parties and organisations officially joined the BJP. Extending a warm welcome, I encouraged them to continue their efforts for societal development while upholding the party’s principles. Additionally, I engaged with the kāryakartās during the event.”

Hazarkia stated that in the last 2.5 years, the government has already provided jobs to 87,000 youths, and in the next 2.5 years, they aim to create a record by offering jobs to an additional 48,000 youths.

Highlighting Himanta Biswa Sarma’s promise to provide jobs to one lakh youths if elected, Hazarkia mentioned that the government now aspires to provide employment to 1,35,000 youths. He criticized the previous Congress government for its corrupt practices in job allocation, emphasizing that the BJP government has stood against corruption and ensured a fair entry for all job seekers in the state.

Hazarkia also reiterated the government’s commitment to phasing out the Orunodoi scheme and transforming it into the Orunodoi Parivar. He announced the fulfillment of this promise, with the Orunodoi scheme benefiting 27 lakh families and the amount set to increase from Rs 1,250 to Rs 1,450 soon.”

The event was attended by president of the BJP Assam and local MLA Bhabhesh kalita, state general secretary (Org.) G.R. Ravindra Raju, MP Dilip Saikia, and other party officials and kāryakartās.
