The focus of the meeting was the upcoming National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) Block/District level bench/camp scheduled for July 10, 2024, at Dokmoka Higher Secondary School, Dokmoka, under the Samelangso Aspirational Block.

The event aims to address grievances related to the violation and deprivation of children’s rights and entitlements, while also raising awareness about government schemes catering to children aged 0 to 18 years.

Madhumita Bhagwati, ACS, district commissioner of Karbi Anglong District, stressed the importance of each department showcasing their respective schemes at the camp to enhance awareness among children and parents.

Key contributions from departments include the Medical Department arranging for Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA), PMJAY card issuance, EKYC generation with Aadhaar card, and health check-ups for children aged 0-18 to identify disabilities.
