The event, titled “Ek Movie Sitaron Ke Sang,” was part of a community outreach initiative aimed at providing a joyful and inspiring experience to children who seldom get such opportunities.

More than 40 differently-abled children attended the screening, accompanied by Jyotsna Sonowal, founder of Prerona Pratibandhi NGO.

Additionally, 20 children from another NGO, Kalyan Ashram, also participated in the event.

Members of both JCI units, along with volunteers and guests, joined the first morning show, which proved to be a deeply emotional and meaningful experience.

The film, featuring Aamir Khan and Genelia D’Souza, revolves around a disgraced basketball coach who is tasked with training a group of neurodivergent individuals.

The story unfolds into a powerful narrative of transformation, inclusion, and the uplifting power of sports.

Notably, the film includes ten newcomers portraying the young athletes, earning praise for its sensitive storytelling.

“This movie is a reminder of how inclusion and dignity can change lives. Our children were not just entertained—they felt seen, valued, and inspired,” said Mrs. Sonowal, extending her gratitude to the organisers.
