Rana Jyoti Neog awarded ‘Best Organiser’ title

MARGHERITA, Feb 5: Ledo Xakha Xahitya Xabha on Wednesday organised a felicitation ceremony at its branch to honour Rana Jyoti Neog, who was recently awarded the “Best Organizer” title by the Asom Sahitya Sabha at Patshala.

Rana Jyoti Neog, the current vice-president of the Ledo Xakha Xahitya Xabha has been instrumental in leading the organisation since 2003 where on Wednesday he was felicitated by over 30 organisations and individuals for his outstanding contributions.

The felicitation ceremony, held at Ledo Xakha Xahitya Xabha office was presided by Dr Ranjit Dutta president of Ledo Xakha Xahitya Xabha where prominent personalities and distinguished persons such as Dr Kripa Prasad Upadhyay principal of Ledo College, Phulmai Phukan principal of Ledo Junior College, Jagat Changmai veteran journalist, eminent litterateur and poet of Ledo, Margherita Journalists Association, Tai Ahom Yuba Parishad, Asom(TAYPA),Rupam Gogoi noted social worker of Margherita, All Assam Bhojpuri Parishad Central Committee president Kailash Kumar Gupta, Ledo College Teachers Association, All Assam Gorkha Student Union along with more than 30 organisations under Margherita co-district felicitated Rana Jyoti Neog with traditional Assamese phoolam Gamosha, Xapi, Xorai, Dhaka Topi, Khaada(Gorkha) and other token of gifts. 

Neog in his speech said, “Since 2003 I been actively involved in Ledo Xakha Xahitya Xabha and in this 22 years I have been honestly doing all my activities for the upliftment and Development of Assamese literature, art and culture.”  Meanwhile Ledo Xakha Xahitya Xabha was also awarded with Best branch at by Asom Sahitya Sabha at Patshala.
