DIPHU, March 17: The department of cultural affairs, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) will present the 12th Rangsina Sarpo Film Award and Rangsina Sarpo Folk Artist Award on March 21 at Singmirjeng Open Stage, Taralangso here.

In the press conference at the office of cultural development officer, Lorulangso, the deputy director, cultural affairs, Rani Terangpi said, “The 12th edition of Rangsina Sarpo Film Award and Rangsina Sarpo Folk Artist Award will be given on March 21 at Sengmirjeng open stage, Taralangso.”
Chief executive member, KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang will be the chief guest and executive member, KAAC, art & culture and health & family welfare, Surjya Rongphar will grace the occasion as Guest of Honour.
The nominee films are Ser Kungri; Ser Dihun (documentary); Riro Akanghon; Archi; Archi keprei and Klir Ningve. There will be 25 categories, the said deputy director.
The categories are Rangsina Sarpo folk artist male and female, special jury, best child artist, best costume designer, best choreographer, best actor in negative role male and female, best art director, best supporting actor male and female, best script writer, best playback singer male and female, best make-up, beset film editor, best lyricist, best music director, best actor male and female, best director, best feature film and best documentary film.
