In Baokhungri constituency, UPPL candidate Ranjit Basumatary on Thursday launched a door-to-door campaign in Kokrajhar town, reaching out to shopkeepers, business establishments, and local vendors.

Basumatary personally appealed for public support while interacting with the business community, outlining the UPPL’s vision for peace, equal development, and prosperity in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).

He highlighted the party’s Community Vision Documents aimed at addressing the concerns of 26 communities, stressing that the UPPL has translated its commitments into action and would continue ensuring justice and development in the region.

Responding to queries, Basumatary expressed confidence that the UPPL would win more than 30 seats, with the rest going to the BJP and BPF, and asserted that the party would stake claim to form the next BTC government after results are declared on September 26.
