RGU and Assam Science Society forge partnership to promote scientific research

GUWAHATI, July 31: The Assam Royal Global University and Assam Science Society took a significant step towards promoting research and innovation in the field of science, especially Chemistry, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday. The purpose of this MoU is to establish a common platform for collaboration in various scientific activities, training programs, and research endeavours.

The MoU was specifically signed with the university’s department of Chemistry, aiming to strengthen cooperation in education, training, and research, which will be mutually beneficial to both organisations and the people of the region. The partnership will focus on conducting research activities, organising training programs, technical sessions, summer and winter programs, and extension activities.

Furthermore, the collaboration will facilitate the guidance of research scholars and students in internship programs, as well as the publication of joint research findings. The ultimate goal is to popularise science and foster a culture of scientific inquiry and innovation in the region.

The MoU signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Mrinal Kumar Hazarika, general secretary of Assam Science Society, and Dr Diganta Munshi, registrar of The Assam Royal Global University, Guwahati. Vice chancellor, Prof (Dr) SP Singh, pro-vice chancellor, dean academics, Dr Pubalee Sharma, and the head of the department of Chemistry from RGU were also present during the momentous occasion.
