Rotary Club hosts ‘Garba Utsav’ at Sonaram field

GUWAHATI, Oct 18: The highly anticipated “Garba Utsav” returns to Guwahati, offering the grandest Dandiya event for Navratri from October 19th to 24th, 2023, at Sonaram Field in Bharalumukh. Leading NGO, Rotary Club, in collaboration with Rotary Club, Rotaract Club of Rongali Guwahati, Maheswari Yuva Sanghatan, and Aura Entertainment, presents the most vibrant, colorful, and lively event, “Navratri Dandiya Raas,” starting this Thursday. The six-day Garba Utsav will be inaugurated by Rotary Club District Governor Rtn. Nilesh Agarwala (District International District 3240) in the presence of AG Satish Kasera, AG Anurag Jain, and other dignitaries at Sonaram Field on Thursday.

Project Chairman, Binay Didwania, expressed that the people of Guwahati will undoubtedly have endless fun during the six-day Garba Utsav. He urged everyone to be part of this enchanting celebration to create unforgettable memories in the joyous atmosphere of Navratri.

Project Convenor, Ravi Agarwalla, revealed that several renowned and popular Bollywood personalities are set to grace the event and shared details about the six-day Raas Garba extravaganza. The beats will ignite your spirit, and the dance floor will come alive.

Project Co-Convenor, Manas Mazumdar, emphasized that the event serves as a fundraising initiative by Rotary Club, Rotaract Club of Rongali Guwahati, Maheswari Yuva Sangh, and Aura Entertainment to support various social activities conducted throughout the year.

Ravi Agarwalla also mentioned that Rotary clubs across India are focusing on the “Happy School” concept, ensuring adequate and functional separate toilets for boys and girls, hand-washing stations, and clean drinking water for students and teachers. Rotary clubs are eager to implement such improvements in Kamrup district schools.

Agarwalla concluded by expressing their gratitude for the overwhelming response and excitement to host a larger Dandiya Raas event. The Dandiya sticks are ready, and the dance floor awaits beautiful and handsome dancers. Don’t miss the chance to join this vibrant celebration.
