HOJAI, Oct 22: On the Foundation Day celebrations of CSIR-North Eastern Institute of Science & Technology (CSIR-NEIST) on September 30, a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Rabindranath Tagore University (RTU), Hojai, and CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, as stated in a press release by Rabindranath Tagore University on Monday.
According to the release, this collaboration aims to foster joint research, academic cooperation, and technology exchange between the two prestigious institutions, particularly focusing on advancements in the fields of science and technology. From Rabindranath Tagore University, Prof Kaushik Chanda, dean of Research & Development, and Dr Dhanawantari L Singha, assistant professor, department of Botany, were present at the ceremony.
The MoU was signed on behalf of CSIR-NEIST by its director, Dr Virendra M Tiwari. The event was graced by the presence of the chief guest, Padma Shri awardee Prof Vinod K Singh, chair professor, IIT Kanpur. This partnership marks a significant step toward promoting scientific research and contributing to the socio-economic development of the north-east region.
