TEZPUR, Feb 15: Tezpur University (TU) has initiated the admissions process for the academic year 2024-25 by launching the TU admission portal for registration for the Tezpur University Entrance Examination 2024/Common University Entrance Test (CUET), catering to both postgraduate and undergraduate programs.
As the only university in North East India accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC, Tezpur University currently offers 78 academic programs across various UG/PG/PhD/certificate and executive levels, spanning diverse disciplines such as Science, Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences, and Management. Notably, the university has introduced four year UG programs in line with the integrated programs as per the National Education Policy 2020.
While the university will participate in CUET UG & PG – 2024 and adhere to the guidelines of the National Testing Agency for some programs, TUEE (Tezpur University Entrance Examination) will conduct Computer Based Tests (CBT) in 28 designated centers across the country. These programs include lateral entry to 2nd year of all BTech programs, BDes, MDes, B.Ed, MCA, and various masters and PhD programs across multiple disciplines.
The TUEE exams are scheduled to be held from May 30 to June 3, 2024. Additionally, foreign students will also be admitted from this academic session on a supernumerary basis. For admission to integrated programs as per NEP 2020, candidates need to qualify for CUET-UG 2024 conducted by NTA. Integrated programs offered by Tezpur University include integrated masters in Commerce/Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Life Sciences/English, as well as undergraduate programs like BSc BEd and BA in Chinese.
