TEZPUR, April 9: The special ICT workshop organised by the Government College of Teacher Education (CTE), Tezpur, with a 2-day program concluded on Tuesday. The program, held within its college campus aiming towards the technological advancement of the learners, was inaugurated on Monday by Prof Ajay Kandulna, principal, CTE, Tezpur, in the presence of Surajit Mahanta, professor, CTE, Tezpur, several members of the college, and students.
The program was conducted with the primary objective of broadening the knowledge of the participants, exposing them to the field of technical breakthroughs, and raising their awareness of the use of ICT resources in the teaching-learning process. Assistant professor and head, department of Computer Science, Kaliabor College, Amit Dutta, was invited to serve as the event’s resource person and impart his knowledge to the students. The expert spoke extensively about how ICT resources are used in today’s teaching and learning processes. Additionally, he gave a hands-on training session for the participants on a number of fundamental and sophisticated ICT tools essential for modern-day teaching, as well as advanced issues in the fields of software, hardware, and artificial intelligence (AI).
Apart from that, the expert also highlighted the constructive use of social media and discussed means of using them for the diversification of their careers. The feedback collected from the participants revealed their satisfaction and deep interest in participating in any such event to be held in the future.
During the valedictory session, Prof Ajay Kandulna, Principal, lauded the persons concerned for such an initiative in taking forward the students and making them aware of the use of technology in the field of education. He also expressed his keen interest in conducting similar programs in the near future too.
