NAGAON, April 12: In a devastating road accident, a tanker driver died on spot near at Nagaon Borghat bypass Chariali on Saturday here.
The deceased has been identified as Raj Kishore Singh of Hawra Shivapur in West Bengal. According to sources, the accident took place when a tanker truck bearing registration number AS 01 FC 3395 collided with a truck bearing registration number AS 01 BC 8236.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police personnel from the Borghat Police Outpost and Nagaon Traffic Police rushed to the scene, assessed the situation, and recovered the body of the deceased driver. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, sources added further.
However, it’s reported that the truck driver of another truck fled the scene immediately after the accident.
