DIBRUGARH, Jan 6: The two accused in the Duliajan abduction case, Mohammad Abdul Jalil and Abu Zafor were produced before the CJM Court in Dibrugarh on Friday.
The Court accepted the prayer to add the sections 120-B/376 IPC & R/w Sec 4 of POCSO Act along with the earlier section of 366 IPC with the Duliajan PS case No. 1/2023.

The case was then forwarded to the Court of Special Judge.
The Court of Special Judge forwarded both the accused to judicial custody.
Meanwhile, the Court has allowed the police for two days interrogation in judicial custody.
The minor girl, who was kidnapped on December 31, was rescued from a char area in Assam’s Bongaigaon district on January 4.
“The girl allegedly kidnapped from Duliajan-Dibrugarh has been recovered at Bongaigaon and would be reunited with family,” tweeted Special DGP GP Singh.
Bharat Agarwal, father of the minor girl said, “I thanked Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and police for timely action in searching my daughter.”
