KOKRAJHAR, Nov 18: The ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) orchestrated a spectacular mass gathering at Debitola High School playground near Kazigaon in Parbathjora district on Saturday. The event witnessed the enthusiastic inclusion of over 300 new members from various parties and organisations, including BPF, AIUDF, and Congress, into the UPPL party.
Party supremo and chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro, along with several senior party leaders, graced the occasion. The Parbathjora district committee of the UPPL organised the gathering, drawing significant participation from diverse areas of the district.
The newly joined members received a warm welcome and traditional felicitation, adorned with Aronai and scarves, symbolising their integration into the UPPL family.
Addressing the gathering, CEM Boro highlighted the growing support for the UPPL party across communities in the Bodoland region. He emphasised the commitment of the UPPL-led UPPL-BJP-GSP alliance government in BTR to comprehensive development since its inception. Boro mentioned various initiatives launched in BTR, garnering positive responses, and affirmed the government’s dedication to fostering unity and tranquillity among all sections of society.
Boro pledged the implementation of departmental development initiatives in Parbathjora, focusing on sustainable development and the uplift of the tourism sector. He expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from various corners, noting the significant influx of people from different sections extending their support to the UPPL party.
Lauding the organisers for the successful grand mass gathering, Boro described it as a testament to the growing support for the UPPL party. He stated, “It is overwhelming to witness the massive outpouring of genuine love and trust from the people of BTR towards the UPPL party. This faith is a testament to the honest hard work of our dedicated party workers.” The event exemplified the UPPL’s increasing momentum and resonance within the community.
