DIPHU, Sept 18: A voluntary blood donation camp was organised on Wednesday at Bokajan Community Health Centre (CHC) by the Assam State Blood Transfusion Council (ASBTC) in collaboration with the Bokajan CHC and the Health Department.
The camp saw active public participation, with 23 units of blood collected.
Medical teams conducted health check-ups, provided counselling, and ensured strict adherence to safety protocols.
Doctors highlighted the vital role of voluntary blood donation, noting that blood cannot be manufactured and is solely dependent on donors.
The programme also raised awareness about the benefits of blood donation, including improved community health, early detection of medical conditions, and motivating others to donate.
The Health and Family Welfare Department, Karbi Anglong, thanked all donors for their contribution and urged citizens to continue supporting such initiatives, reiterating that every drop of donated blood helps save a life.
