Youth festival lights up Biswanath College

BISWANATH CHARIALI, June 12: 
A series of cultural and literary competitions took place in the conference hall of Biswanath College on Monday as part of the Yuva Utsav organised by the Sonitpur district Nehru Yuva Kendra.

The competitions were inaugurated by Sattriya artiste Yachika Mahanta in the presence of Dr Chinta Mani Sharma, the college principal, Naresh Thakur, head of the English department, Bikash Pradhan, sports officer of the Sonitpur district Nehru Yuva Kendra, Diganta Ghatowar, president of the State Tea Tribe Cell, and other dignitaries.

Arun Bordoloi, Shyam Kumar Nag, Prinjum Hazarika, Pallabi Goswami Mahanta, Nilakhi Barua, Biswajit Sut, Goutam Guwala, and Bhuban Adhikari graced the occasion as judges. Cultural teams from various parts of the district and individual participants took part in the literary and cultural competitions. The winners were awarded cash prizes, mementos, and citations. The day-long program was conducted by Kamal Mahanta, Bikash Kurmi, and Karan Pantanti.
