Dense fog likely to engulf NE region

GUWAHATI, Dec 28:  The Northeastern states are likely to be engulfed by dense fog over the next three-four days, the IMD predicted.

In its daily weather bulletin, the IMD stated that dense fog conditions were likely to continue in isolated pockets over Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during morning hours of Thursday.

Meanwhile, as on December 27, 2023, the minimum temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places over Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura. Maximum temperatures were also above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.
