GUWAHATI, June 27: The Medical Assessment and Rating Board of National Medical Commission (NMC) has increased MBBS seats from 50 to 100 at Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to micro blogging site X to announce the same stating, “Now, we will have more students from Arunachal Pradesh pursuing their medical studies at one of the best colleges in the country.”
Khandu remarked that Arunachal Pradesh is committed to enhancing academic opportunities for individuals aspiring to pursue a career in the medical field.
I am extremely delighted to share that the National Medical Commission has increased MBBS seats to 100 at TRIHMS, Naharlagun.
Now, we will have more students from ArunachalPradesh pursuing their medical studies at one of the best colleges in thecountry.

This will ultimately result in a dedicated group of doctors who can serve the community at both state and national levels with greater efficiency.
“Team Arunachal is steadfast in their resolve to provide better academic avenues to those aspiring to join medical services, thereby having a pool of our own doctors to serve the people of the state and the country more effectively”, he added.
