Teachers training workshop concludes

BISWANATH CHARIALI, July 2: A two-day summer teachers training workshop concluded on Sunday at Gyan Bharati Public School, Sootea, with the assistance of District Institution of Education and Training (DIET), Biswanath.

The objective of the workshop was to enhance and invigorate the pedagogic excellence of the teachers so that the students can be provided with the best of education for their inclusive development.

The workshop was conducted  by Rima Borah, Sr lecturer, DIET, academic in-charge, Naduar Education Block; Dr Raj Kiran Doley, lecturer (DIET), academic in-charge and chairperson of Biswanath Education Block, ECCE, SCERT state resource person, empanelled resource person Tezpur University and Pranjal Chetia, lecturer, DIET, academic in-charge, Chaiduar Education Block, the educators, with vast experience on the relevant fields, covered a wide range of topics like Micro Teaching Skill, Understanding the Self, Classroom Management, Ethics and Integrity, Joyful Mathematics etc.

Through various audio-visual presentations, the educators enlightened the teachers on various intricacies of these refined attributes of pedagogy which was quite useful for the teachers to hone their skill. A total of 40 teachers from Gyan Bharati Central School, Tupia; Biswanath Jnan Bharati School, Biswanath and Gyan Bharati Public School, Sootea participated in the workshop. Before the beginning of the workshop, the resource persons were presented with tree saplings by Atul Chandra Borah and Rajib Baruah, principal and director of Gyan Bharati Public School, Sootea respectively.

The educators also covered an assortment of attributes whereby a congenial environment can be developed in the school for overall development of the students. At the end of the workshop, certificates were distributed among the participating teachers.
