15th Hiren Baruah All Assam Major Ranking Table Tennis Tourney From Oct 19

JORHAT, Sept 27: The Jorhat District Sports Association will host the 15th Hiren Baruah All Assam Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament from October 19 to 22 under the aegis of Assam Table Tennis Association, a press release said. This will be the 3rd ranking tournament of the year 2022-23.

Around 450 participants from places like Nagaon, Dibrugarh, North Lakhimpur, Jorhat, Mangoldoi, Tezpur, Sivasagar, Silchar, Namrup, Duliajan, Golaghat, Guwahati and the institutions like Oil India Ltd and NF Railways will participate in this championships.

 

All international and national ranked players of Assam will also participate in this tournament.
There will be 12 categories of events namely Hopes under 11 girls and boys, Cadet under 13 girls and boys, Sub junior under 15 girls and boys, Junior 17 boys and girls, Youth 19 boys and girls, Mens and Womens.

The last date for sending the entries will be October 8, 2022.The lots for the draws will be held in the ATTA head office, Abita Indoor Stadium on October 9 at 5 pm.

 

All affiliated district representatives are requested to be present during the same
Biman Bhagowati of Sivasagar will be the chief referee for the tournament and deputy chief referee will be Govinda Upadhay from Guwahati. Assam Table Tennis Association joint secretary Biplob Goswami and excecutive member Ratnadwip Chakraborty will be the observers for this prestigious tournament.
