ISPL 2022 semi-finals at KDSA & Dimakuchi stadiums today

KOKRAJHAR, Oct 19: Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) will take on Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KACC) on Thursday in the first semi-final match of the Inter Sixth Schedule Premier League (ISPL) 2022 to be played at Dimakuchi mini stadium in Udalguri district.

Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC) will take on Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) of Mizoram in another semi-final match to be played at Kokrajhar district sports association (KDSA) stadium playground in Kokrajhar on Thursday.

Necessary preparation and arrangements have been made at two different playgrounds in Kokrajhar and Dimakuchi of Udalguri district to organise the semi-final matches of the ISPL-2022 on Thursday in a smooth manner.

Sports lovers from across the region are waiting to witness the semi-final matches (on Thursday) and grand finale match (Sunday) of the first ever inter sixth schedule premier league-2022 in Bodoland Territorial Region.

A total of eight teams representing different sixth schedule councils from the north eastern region participated in the ISPL-2022 mega event and showcased their sports talents in the event.

Notably, the first-ever Inter Sixth Schedule Premier League (ISPL)-2022 began on October 9 at Dimakuchi mini stadium in Udalguri district. Its closing ceremony will take place on October 23 scheduled to be held at SAI SAG Centre Titaguri in Kokrajhar.

The ISPL-2022 has been organised by Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) government for building a better net working, mutual understanding and to provide a platform to the youths in the field of sports across the north eastern region of India.

The league matches of the ISPL-2022 is also held at Dimakuchi mini stadium, Udalguri, District Sports complex Bathoupuri, Mushalpur and BDSA complex, Bijni.

The champion team would be awarded trophy & cash Rs 3 lakh, runners up team to conferred trophy & Rs. 2 lakh and third place holder team would be given away trophy & Rs 1 lakh respectively.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, All India Football Federation (AIFF) president Kalyan Chaubey, CEMs, deputy CEMs from different sixth schedule councils of north eastern region are attending as chief guest, special guest and guests on the closing ceremony of the ISPL.
