DIPHU, Aug 20: Basketball player Sumbi Rongpharpi from Karbi Anglong has been selected for the Assam senior women’s team in the 36th National Games to be held at Bhavnagar, Gujarat from September 27 to October 10, 2022, general secretary, KASA, Dr. Pankaj Teron informed.

“I am very glad to receive a letter addressed to Karbi Anglong Sports Association by MP Pallab Lochan Das, who is the chairman of the Basketball Revival Committee informing us that a basketball player Sumbi Rongphar from Karbi Anglong has been selected in the Assam senior women’s basketball team in the 36th National Games to be held at Bhavnagar, Gujarat from September 27 to October 10, 2022,” Dr. Teron said.
