GUWAHATI, Oct 30: N F Railway is set to observe the ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ from 30th October to 05th November, 2023, across all its Divisions, Workshops, and Construction field units. This year’s theme, “Say no to corruption; commit to the Nation,” aims to instill a culture of integrity and transparency within the organization and beyond.

The initiative commenced with the administration of the ‘Integrity Pledge’ today. Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager, Northeast Frontier Railway, and Sunil Kumar Jha, General Manager, N.F. Railway (Construction), led the pledge at GM’s office, Maligaon, and GM (CON)’s office, Maligaon, respectively. This pledge emphasizes the eradication of corruption in all spheres of activity, fostering integrity and transparency in the working environment.

Throughout the week, various programs are scheduled to create awareness among railway employees and the general public. Interactive sessions with departmental officers, both at Headquarters and Divisions, aim for systemic improvements. A “Sangosthi” on the theme – “Say no to corruption; commit to the nation” will engage higher officials of N. F. Railway (Open Line and Construction Organization).

Engaging the younger generation, essay writing, drawing, and painting competitions will be organized at Railway schools, while an inter-college debate on the theme is scheduled at Pandu College, Guwahati, on 03rd November, 2023.
