Gossaigaon MLA Jiron Basumatary lays foundation stone of building

GOSSAIGAON, March 6: Jiron Basumatary, MLA No.1 Gossaigaon LAC officially laid the foundation stone of a new building worth Rs.7 crore as part of upgrading the Gossaigaon Boy’s Higher Secondary School to a model school.

While laying the foundation stone of the model school allotted under the RDF Scheme MLA Jiron Basumatary emphasized that chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has taken initiatives by honouring the provincialised educational institutions of the state as a temple and making the educational institution a model school will allow every student to get well acquainted with the modern educational system as well as avail the quality education.

The MLA of Gossaigaon also lauded the continuous efforts of CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in making India the second prosperous nation in the world and at the same time appreciated BTC Council Government for the steps taken by its own to develop on the academic front.

Briefing the media persons about the overall progress in the academic sector he thanked Sarma for the steps taken for upgrading Kashiabri High School and Grahampur Higher Secondary School as a model school in the Gossaigaon Sub-Division.

On the other hand, to make the Gossaigaon sub-dvision a developed town Basumatary on behalf of CEM Promod Boro laid the foundation stone of six roads under the ICBP Road Construction Scheme that includes 500m roads starting from the house of GMC, chairman Prafulla Islary to Hombir Basumatary, RCC cover slope of 240m from the house of Labendra Narzary to TP Road, 210m LCBP road connecting Gossaigaon Girls High School, construction of 260m road from Bodo Sahitya Sabha road to station road, 1350 metre road repairing from NH-31(C) to Gossaigaon intersection, development of Gaurav Road from 1350 to 1650 metres of National Highway under Chief Minister’s Urban Pucca Road Construction Scheme (MMNPPNA) etc.
