ACJMS holds an awareness meeting

SIVASAGAR, Dec 24: The Asom Chutiya Jati Mahila Sanmilan (ACJMS) held an awareness meeting on political, cultural traditions and socio- economic problems of the Chutiyas on Tuesday.

The meeting was held in Sivasagar Rangpurjyoti Club in the presence of over a hundred delegates from various districts.

The meeting was addressed by Jaya Barua, president, Chutiya Jati Sammelan, Asom, Ranjit Tamuly, educationist, Sivasagar district unit, journalists Manoj Kr Borthakur, Bhairov Munda, Debajit Saikia, secretary, Chutiya Jati Sanmilan, Ringkumoni Sadhan Barua, prof Khirod Khanikar, Kamal Bora, human right activist, Parag Saikia, secretary, Sivasagar district Chutiya Jati Sanmilan, Debasish Chutia and Parag Chutiya.

The speakers spoke on diverse topics as such as political, cultural traditions and socio- economic problems of the Chutiyas.
