BISWANATH CHARIALI, Feb 28: The Nyishi Elite Society of Arunachal Pradesh organised 42nd edition of Nyokum Yullo 2025 at Pakke Paga ground at Seijosa on February 26. A group of dignitaries from Assam Sahitya Sabha had attended the event as a part of Sabha’s Setu Bandha programme. The delegates included its president Basanta Kumar Goswami, Dr Jyoti Rekha Hazarika, Apurba Phukan, Ashok Senapatim Tufel Jilani, Shanku Siddha Nath, Mahendra Gogoi, Prabin Hazarika, Bankim Barua, Champak Gogoi, Biswajit Sut among others.

Taking part in the Setu Bandh programme of Assam Sahitya Sabha, Basanta Kumar Goswami, president of Assam Sahitya Sabha addressed the 42nd Seijosa Nyokum Yullo Celebration 2025 as a chief guest on February 26 at Pakke Paga ground, NITI Darlong, Seijosa. Addressing the open session Dr Goswami said, “The Assam Sahitya Sabha has carried out a journey of assimilation to Arunachal Pradesh which will strengthen the ties between the two neighbouring states. Assam Sahitya Sabha will carry out many projects in Arunachal Pradesh in association with the Nyishi Elite Society. Politics try to separate and segregate people but literature and culture unite people despite varieties and diversities. Assam and Arunachal will stand united as brothers forever.’

The event was attended by Biyuram Wahge, minister of health and family planning, Kesang Owadang, ADC, Harry Maring, chief secretary of Nyishi Elite Society besides other dignitaries. The programme began with a welcome address offered by the state cabinet minister. A series of literary and cultural programmes were exhibited.
