NAMSAI, June 20: In a concerted effort to advance rural skill development and empower unemployed youth, the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM), operating under the Department of Rural Development, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, has launched a series of district-level awareness and orientation programmes under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY).
According to an official statement, the campaign aims to inform and mobilise rural communities, with a special focus on unemployed youth, Self-Help Group (SHG) members, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, women, and persons with disabilities.
It highlights the scheme’s provisions for free skill training and assured job placement, particularly for marginalised groups.
During the sessions, participants are made aware of the programme’s offerings, including training in more than 50 trades across 28 states, guaranteed placement opportunities with monthly salaries starting at ₹6,000, and free boarding, lodging, uniforms, and study materials.
In Keyi Panyor district, an orientation programme was held on June 17 at the Namlo Dvn MCLF office in association with the Model Cluster Level Federation under BMMU Pistana.

Outreach activities in Papum Pare district were carried out in Doimukh by District Coordinator Techi Takar.
The programme specifically targeted school dropouts and local job aspirants.
Similar initiatives were organised across Lohit, Kamle, and East Siang districts, where community support from Gram Panchayats, SHGs, and local influencers played a pivotal role in driving the campaign.
To ensure wide reach and impact, ArSRLM adopted a multi-faceted strategy combining grassroots mobilisation with digital outreach.
Awareness was spread through SHGs, local leaders, and Gram Panchayats, while platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, and YouTube were used to engage a wider audience.
Posters, banners, and brochures were placed at key public locations, and inspiring real-life success stories were shared to motivate prospective candidates.
These efforts have already led to a surge in interest and registrations, reflecting the growing enthusiasm among rural youth to take advantage of the scheme.
Looking ahead, ArSRLM has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering inclusive participation and sustainable employment opportunities through DDU-GKY.
The Mission plans to intensify collaboration with training partners, community institutions, and government stakeholders to ensure a robust skill development ecosystem that meets the aspirations of the rural youth of Arunachal Pradesh.
