DALGAON, Aug 24: Following the Dhing gang rape incidents, the Darrang AAMSU irked over the increasing rape incidents in the state and raised concern about women security. Taking part in a protest rally here at Dalgaon on Saturday, AAMSU Advisor Ainuddin Ahmed told media persons that the state government has miserably failed to control law & order situation in the state for which several incidents of rape and women molestation took place in various parts.
He told- Chief Minister and DGO cannot hide encountering the rape accused. Encounter is not the solution, rule of law must be implemented to ensure safety and security of all sections. He further warned Bir Lachit Sena Leader Srinkhal Chaliha for instigating against the Miya Community.
He urged all to treat the rapists as criminals rather than finding the religious background. Meanwhile, Mahbubul Islam, President of the Darrang AAMSU said that the government is trying to polarise and divert the rape like serious issues.
At least seven rape incidents took place in the last few days but a section along with the government is highlighting only Dhing and promoting hatred against a particular community.
He urged all sections not to communalize crimes. On the other hand, NEMSU president Badrul Islam condemned the rape incidents and raised concern over the failure of law & order situation in the state.
