ABSU’s skill & quality education mission begins

KOKRAJHAR, May 20: The influential All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) has been emphasising to bring mission skill and quality education among the Bodo medium students and kicked start its free teaching camp across the state by engaging teachers (voluntarily) in all single teacher schools.

The student’s union has kicked start its mission skill and quality education 2021-2025 which is the initiative of the student’s union targeting the students from lower primary (LP) to post graduate (PG) for the achievement of skill and quality education with the Bodo medium education in the state.

The student’s union has opined that the mission for free teaching camp in the 1000 primary schools across the state is underway to make a healthy and quality educational environment in days to come.

On Friday in Kokrajhar, the mission kicked off at 356 Nadanguri LP School, Salakati.

ABSU president Dipen Boro inaugurated the mission in the august presence of teacher, guardian and students followed by sapling plantation by ABSU vice-president Khwrwmdao Wary.

Notably, Nadangiri LP School at present has only a single teacher with the strength of 72 students in the school and a helper inducted by school management committee (SMC) are rendering their services as teacher in the school.

The student’s union, having stepped up to extend support towards rendering healthy and quality educational services, has also assigned another person to assist the single teacher in the teaching and learning process in the school.

The teacher who was engaged was identified as Sonali Basumatary, a graduate from the village.

ABSU president Dipen Boro has enlightened the objective of the programme with the initiative to realise the quality education for the children from the Lower Primary standard.

He informed that the students union has the target to encourage quality and scientific society for the future. “Ensuring zero drop out at all stages of learning by the students. Making aware all the guardians to take good care of children and make them love the learning. Encouraging the SMCs to take care of the school with the help of the other parents of the students. To take the responsibility of social change by bringing awareness against all the anti-social activities such as drugs, human trafficking, early marriage, etc. This activity of rendering a free teaching programme, ABSU will ensure that all the Bodo students will achieve skill and quality education for the establishment of cultured society in days to come,” Boro added.
