Anita Das Mahanta, a fair price shopkeeper in Margherita, expressed gratitude on behalf of the State Committee to the families of fair price shopkeepers who supported the three-day ration closure program. This initiative, directed by the All Assam Fair Price Shopkeepers Association, aimed to distribute rice at a fair pace starting from Thursday.
Anita Das Mahanta noted the overwhelming response from all districts, citing the distribution of 3,57,877 cards out of 66,38,329 in the past three days, from December 1 to December 3. She appealed to the chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to ensure the right amount of commission or establish a fixed salary to enable the shopkeepers of All Assam Fair Price Shopkeepers Association to sustain their families honestly.
