Assam: 3 students appearing for HSLC exam go missing from hostel room, abduction suspected

Bongaigaon, Feb 24: In a shocking incident, three students were allegedly kidnapped by unidentified individuals in Assam’s Bongaigaon district, according to reports on Saturday.

The students were reportedly taken from a boys’ hostel of the Sonaikula Shankar Azan Jatiya Vidyalaya in Bongaigaon.

Based on received information, the students disappeared from the hostel late on Friday night. The missing students have been identified as Minhaz Talukdar, Rubul Ali and Nazrul Haque.

Furthermore, Rubul was a candidate for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examinations 2024, while Minhaz and Nazrul were Class 8 students. Family members of the students suspect that they were kidnapped by unidentified individuals.

The school authorities have filed a complaint at the Manikpur Police Station and an investigation is underway. However, no suspects have been detained by the police yet.
